Terms and Conditions

These Terms and Conditions apply to all participants of Bromo Marathon 2026.

1. Registration

1.1. By registering for Bromo Marathon 2026, you agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions in their entirety.

1.2. Registration is confirmed only upon receipt of full payment. Incomplete or unpaid registrations will be automatically cancelled after the specified payment deadline.

1.3. Participants must provide accurate personal information at the time of registration. False or misleading information may result in disqualification and forfeiture of entry fees.

1.4. The minimum age for participation varies by category: Kids 2.5K (5-12 years), 5K (15+), 10K (17+), 21K (18+), 42K (18+). Age is determined as of race day.

1.5. Participants under the age of 18 must have a signed parental or guardian consent form submitted at the time of registration.

2. Cancellation and Refund

2.1. All registration fees are non-refundable unless the event is cancelled by the organizer due to circumstances beyond reasonable control.

2.2. Transfers to another participant are permitted up to 30 days before race day, subject to an administrative fee. Contact the organizing committee to arrange a transfer.

2.3. Deferral to a future edition of Bromo Marathon is not available unless explicitly offered by the organizer.

2.4. In the event of cancellation by the organizer, participants will be offered a partial refund or credit toward a future event, at the organizer's discretion.

3. Liability

3.1. Participation in Bromo Marathon 2026 is entirely at the participant's own risk. The organizer, sponsors, partners, and volunteers shall not be held liable for any injury, illness, death, or loss of property arising from participation.

3.2. By registering, participants acknowledge the inherent risks of trail and road running, including but not limited to uneven terrain, altitude, extreme weather, wildlife, and physical exhaustion.

3.3. Participants are responsible for their own safety and well-being before, during, and after the event. The organizer strongly recommends obtaining personal sports and travel insurance.

3.4. The organizer shall not be held responsible for any loss or damage to personal belongings left at bag drop areas, aid stations, or any other event facilities.

4. Media Rights

4.1. By participating, you grant the organizer the irrevocable right to use your name, likeness, voice, photographs, and video recordings taken during the event for promotional, editorial, advertising, and commercial purposes without further compensation.

4.2. This grant extends to all media formats, including but not limited to print, digital, broadcast, and social media, in perpetuity and worldwide.

4.3. Official event photographers and videographers will be present on the course and at the start/finish area. Participants may purchase official race photos through the designated platform after the event.

5. Force Majeure

5.1. The organizer shall not be liable for failure to perform any obligation under these Terms where such failure is caused by circumstances beyond the organizer's reasonable control, including but not limited to natural disasters, volcanic activity, severe weather, epidemic or pandemic, government restrictions, civil unrest, or acts of terrorism.

5.2. In the event of force majeure, the organizer will make reasonable efforts to reschedule the event or offer alternative arrangements. The organizer is not obligated to provide refunds under force majeure conditions.

5.3. Participants acknowledge that the event takes place in the vicinity of an active volcanic region and accept the associated risks.
